At Philbrook, the Art Comes With a Murder Mystery
Tulsa novelist Ginny Myers Sain created an interactive October 16 gallery game with a digital case file and clues to pursue.

A painting, a wealthy patron and a fictional murder are at the center of Philbrook's next gallery challenge. Visitors won't simply hear how the mystery ends. They'll have to investigate it.

Shadows Beneath the Canvas is an interactive game written by Tulsa author Ginny Myers Sain. During the Friday, October 16, event, participants receive a digital case file, examine clues throughout the galleries and may encounter characters they can question as the story unfolds.

The Philbrook ticket listing offers entry times from 6 to 8 p.m. and advertises $5 tickets for members and $7 for nonmembers, including general museum and exhibition admission. Attendees are asked to bring a phone or tablet and headphones or earbuds.

Philbrook lists Sain's in-person appearance and book signing for the earlier October 2 kickoff, not the October 16 game.

The museum is at 2727 S. Rockford Road. Tickets and available entry times can be checked through Philbrook's booking page.
